The Italian automaker is close to unveiling a Ferrari 458 Italia GT built specifically for NASCAR's road-racing series. The car is expected to be ready for testing
in the GT class by the end of March.

Raffauf says at least six teams have shown interest in possibly switching to the Ferrari this season.

Cheever says the Ferrari's presence could prompt other manufactures to follow. Porsche, Chevrolet, BMW, Mazda and Ford have cars entered in the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
